Kate F. Andrews is a communications specialist from the Boston, MA area who has worked extensively in print, broadcast and multimedia journalism as a news anchor, reporter, writer, TV personality and producer. She is currently a public involvement specialist, focusing on community engagement at a Boston engineering firm.
After studying acting in New York City at the New School at Pace University, Kate decided to switch concentrations and graduated with honors in Print and Multimedia Journalism from Emerson College in Boston, MA. She continued at Emerson and received her Masters in Broadcast Journalism.
During her time at Emerson, Kate covered the 2011 Academy Awards from the red carpet and the 2010 Massachusetts Gubernatorial elections from Tim Cahill's camp. She also worked as the Executive Producer of the Medical Matters department at WEBN. During her undergraduate years, she wrote for The Berkeley Beacon and served as the Arts & Entertainment section's Associate Editor from 2008 to 2009.
At CTV, Kate worked as substitute news anchor for the station's newscast, Catholic Newsbreak, and hosted This is the Day LIVE. She has interviewed the likes of Emilio Estevez and Martin Sheen, Ryan Reynolds, Emma Stone and Nicholas Cage. She reported from the March for Life in Washington D.C. In September 2015 she was in Philadelphia to cover the World Meeting of Families as well as the Papal visit. Kate reported live from the Festival of Families and Pope Francis' final mass in the United States.
In addition to her on-camera duties, Kate produced the women's talk show, The Gist. She also produced the mini-series, Aging Gracefully, and the DVD special, Saint to Santa. She was the writer and associate producer for the news magazine show, Clearvoice (2011 - 2013). She produced the CTV Telethon since 2011, and co-hosted the 2013, 2014, 2015and 2016 broadcasts.
When she isn't at her 9 to 5 or working on her passion projects, Kate loves to travel, go to the movies and read. Kate lives in Wakefield with her husband, Alex, and their two cats.
